Held annually by the Copenhagen Business School, the CBS Case Competition is one of the world’s major case competitions for undergraduate students. Each year, 12 teams from world-leading business schools are invited to participate in the competition. During the game, contestants will have access to a real company and then work out feasible and innovative strategies for the company to tackle problems and potential risks in real business environment. After an intensive and non-stop 32-hour case preparation, contestants will make a 20mins strategy demonstration to the judges, followed by another 15mins Q&A session. In the end, only three teams enter the final game.
The case company for the 2012 competition was DONG Energy of Denmark. Participating teams were required to make future strategies and implementation plans for the energy enterprise. Following a fierce competition, teams of Tsinghua SEM, National University of Singapore and Georgetown University of the U.S. broke into the finals.
