Jinliang Li is a professor of finance at the School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University. An entrepreneurial academic, he founded the Institute for Industrial Innovation and Finance, an interdisciplinary platform dedicated to research and promotion of industrial innovation for sustainable development in China. Jinliang was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2003, and served on the Standard of Practice Council of the CFA Institute and the editorial board of the Financial Analysts Journal. He was J.G. Riesman Research Professor at Northeastern University in Boston, and a visiting scholar at Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. He has provided consultancy to the central bank, Ministry of Science and Technology, CSRC, China Construction Bank, and State Street Bank in Boston.

Jinliang’s academic achievements have been exemplified by awards from the State and the Municipality of Beijing. He received a Ph.D. in finance from Syracuse University in 2001, and a bachelor degree from Tsinghua University in 1997.
