Dr. ZHU Hengyuan is an Associate Professor and Vice Chair at Department of Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Strategy in Tsinghua SEM. He received Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering and master in Technological Economics & Management in Tsinghua University. Later he received another Master in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute,and Ph.D. in Management from Tsinghua University. He teaches Management of Innovation, Entrepreneurial Management, New Product Development, Organization Design, Architecture and Control.
Dr. Zhu Hengyuan's Research Interests focus on Organization and Process of New Product or New Business Development, Entrepreneurship, Venture Creation and Growth. He has been the project leader or key member for several research projects funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China, Beijing Science & Technology Commission, Hangzhou Bibixi Network Technology Co., Ltd, etc. During last 5 years, he has published 12 articles on Science of Science and Management of S.&T., Economic Management in China, Journal of Marketing Management , etc. He also published several cases and Conference Papers/Presentations during the same time. He won Outstanding Teaching Award granted by Tsinghua University three times, and Outstanding Teaching Award granted by Tsinghua University SEM three times too.
In 2004, he was Visiting Scholar at MIT Sloan School of Management, in 2006, he was Visiting Scholar at Taiwan National Tsinghua University. Till now, he is Member of Academy of Management and Member of Product Innovation Management Association. He has also worked at Jianghai Electronic Co. Ltd. as director of research & development, and in United Technologies Research Center (UTRC) in U.S.A as business analyst.
