Tsinghua SEM Top Employer Conference in 2013

On June 21st at Holiday Inn, Beijing, CDC organized Tsinghua SEM Top Employer Conference in 2013 with the campus recruiting managers of approximately 30 top hiring employers including Microsoft, J.P. Morgan First Capital Securities Co., Ltd., Schneider Electric, Caterpillar, Deloitte, CITIC Metal Co. Ltd., Credit Suisse Founder Securities Limited, Carrefour China, KPMG China, CITICPE, Price Waterhouse Coopers, Citibank, Beijing State Capital Management Center, Bank of China, Novartis China, HONY Capital, Accenture, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Morgan Stanley, P&G, J.P. Morgan Chase, TATA, CITIC Securities and Nokia. The representatives of those hirers discuss the current job markets and share their recruitment challenges this year. Also they talked about the corporate strategies of talent recruitment and management. Moreover, those employers deepened understanding of the programs by Tsinghua SEM and its students’ qualities through this event, which will create more job opportunities for the SEM students.
The director of CDC Mrs. WANG Hong shared the newest employment statistics of SEM graduates this year and analyzed the changes. Mrs. Wang introduced the SEM programs, student statistics, trends of employer recruitments, and data of employment in the past three years. Based on the 2013 graduate surveys of different student populations at SEM, she discussed with the employers how to enhance the corporation between the school and hirers and identify the characteristics of graduates next year, which help the employers know the qualities of the SEM students, clarify their targets, and change the recruitment strategies.
Then Professor ZHANG Jin and Mr. WU Fei, the campus recruiting manager of Microsoft, China, made presentations on talent management and campus recruitment. Finally the participants were divided into 6 subgroups and discussing the problems and challenges of campus recruitment, and what assistances they need for the universities. The CDC staff joined the discussions and shared the feedbacks of employer recruiting and enhancing images in campus. CDC is committed to win-win relationships among students, employers, and the school with various career events and services.
