YANG Liu becomes associate editor for Management Science

YANG Liu, a tenured associate professor from the Department of Management Science and Engineering at the School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University (Tsinghua SEM), recently accepted an invitation from the editorial department of top international journal Management Science to serve as associate editor. She will be working in its Department of Behavioral Economics and Decision Analysis.

Founded in 1954, Management Science is the flagship publication of the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS). It is a well-known and leading international journal in the fields of management science and operations research.


YANG Liu graduated from Tsinghua University with a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, and then went to Duke University in the United States to pursue a doctoral degree in Decision Sciences. After graduation, YANG Liu joined Tsinghua SEM and has been working ever since. Her main research areas are information acquisition and learning issues, incentive issues, and behavioral issues in decision-making problems under uncertainty. Her work has applications in the digital economy, sharing economy and healthcare management. YANG Liu has published many articles in top international journals such as Operations Research and Manufacturing and Service Operations Management.


YANG Liu was invited to serve as the associate editor for the Management Science, indicating that her research achievements and academic level have been highly recognized by peers at home and abroad. It reflects the important supporting role and practical achievements of Tsinghua University and Tsinghua SEM in promoting interdisciplinary development, supporting and cultivating outstanding young faculty, and creating an academic highland with international influence. This recognition will further enhance the school's international academic influence and promote the growth and progress of related disciplines.
