The Department of Leadership and Organization Management recruits Master's students in Enterprise Management as well as doctoral students in Human Resources Development and Management. The Department offers the doctoral degree in Business Administration (first tier). It also provides a wide range of compulsory and elective courses in Management, Human Resources and Organizational Behavior for MBA, part-time MBA, IMBA, EMBA, EDP programs.

The Department is strong in research. Currently, it has several ongoing projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), and a number of others supported by the Ministry of Education, Tsinghua SEM and established corporations. The Department is closely connected with internationally renowned universities and researchers, and contributes to advanced academic studies as well as business reform and development in China.

Yang, ling

Assistant Professor

 Ling Yang is an assistant professor at the Department of Leadership and Organization Management at the School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University. Before joining Tsinghua SEM in 2012, Yang obtained her Ph.D. in sociology from Stanford University in 2012 and prior to that, a M.A. in sociology in 2006 and a B.A. in Chinese literature in 2003, both from Tsinghua University. 

Wu, Weiku

Professor

 Weiku WU currently serves as a professor in the Department of Leadership and Organization Management at Tsinghua SEM. He was born in Kiamusze Municipality, Heilongjiang Province, P R China in 1961. He obtained his BA from Northeast Institute in 1983, and his MA from Harbin Institute of Technology in 1987. He graduated from Tsinghua University, with a Ph.D. in 1994. And from then on, he has been teaching at Tsinghua SEM. In 1998, he further studied company strategy, competitive strategy and leadership at Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Then in 2001, He studied leadership and its research methods at Huang Lung Center for Organization Research, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and Harvard University Business School.

Qian, Xiaojun

Professor

 Qian Xiaojun is a full professor at the Department of Leadership and Organization Management in the School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua Univeristy. She is a vice director of the Degree Review Committee, Tsinghua SEM and the Director of Planning and Quality Assurance Office, Tsinghua SEM. She was the director of MBA Programs of the school (2001-2006) and the assistant dean responsible for academic degrees (2006-2009). She received her Ph.D. in Mathematics in 1992, M.S. in mathematics in 1988 from Purdue University, Indiana, USA, and B.S. in applied mathematics from Tsinghua University in 1982. Her research interests focus on Managerial Communication, Corporate Communication and Cross-Cultural Communication, Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibilities, Management Education, Business School 

Jiang, Peng

Assistant Professor

 JIANG Peng, Juris Scientiae Doctor (JSD), is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Leadership and Organization Management at the School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua Univeristy. He got bachelor and master degree from the Law School of Jilin University (JLU, 1997, 2000), and doctorate from China University of Political Science and Law (CUPSL) in year of 2003.Dr. JIANG engaged in the postdoctoral research in Law School of Peking University (PKU) since Oct. 2003. Before coming to PKU, he was an instructor of JLU. In Sep. 2005, he joined the School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University. And ne he is still an assistant professor.


Chen, Hao

Assistant Professor

 Professor Chen's reserach interest includes supervisor-subordinate relationship, the influence of relationship in organization, work ethics and employees' non-work behavior.

Wang, Lei

Assistant Professor

 Professor Wang’s research interest includes leadership, social networks, and team knowledge transfer. Professor Wang is serving on the editorial board of Journal of Leadership & Organizational studies.

Wang, Xiaoye

Assistant Professor

 Wang's research focuses on performance evaluation, social cognition and goal setting. She has one research paper published in the top management journal, “The roles of rater goals and ratee performance levels in the distortion of performance ratings” (Journal of Applied Psychology, 3, 546-561.).

Zhang, Mian

Associate Professor

 His main research interests focus on organizational attachment, employee motivation, behavioral decision making and organizational culture.

Zhang, Jin

Associate Professor

 His main researches areas on Positive Organizational Behavior, Science of Happiness, Subjective Well-being, IT System and Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Assessment, Research Design and Multivariate Data Analysis.

Chi, Wei

Associate Professor

 Her research interests include personnel economics, labor economics, and labor relations. She is a member of American Economic Association, Academy of Management, and Chinese Economist Society.

Qu, Qing

Associate Professor

 His main research areas are Human Resource Management, Organizational Culture and Leadership.The courses he taught include Human Resource Management, Managerial Thinking and Organizational Culture.

Wu, Zhiming

Associate Professor

 Wu's research focuses on organizational behavior and human resource management, particularly on team effectiveness, leadership, organizational citizenship behavior, employee’s recruitment and selection, and career management.

Zheng, Xiaoming

Associate Professor

 His major field of research includes Strategic Human Resources Management, Competence Model, Performance Management, Learning Organization and Organizational Culture, Employee Subjective-wellbeing and Leadership.

Wang, Xueli

Associate Professor

 Her main researches focus on organization change, strategic human resource management and organizational culture. She has done deeply research on Chinese business management practices.

Chen, Guoquan

Professor

  He has been doing research in the field of organizational learning, learning organization, team learning, learning team, individual learning, learning leader, leadership, team management and so on, and has developed related concepts, models, methods, assessment tools and implementation systems for the above research areas.

Yang, Baiyin

COSCO Chair Professor

 His research interests include creativity and innovation in organizations, adult and organizational learning, organizational culture, leadership and management development, power and influence tactics, cross-cultural management, theory-building methodology, and quantitative research methods.
