The 2022 Global Summer Program of the Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management (the program) was held online from May 23 to 27, with students from 37 institutions from 10 countries and regions participating.

The total number of participants exceeded 400 throughout the five days of teaching, including undergraduate, master's, MBA, and EMBA students from world-renowned institutions, such as Harvard University, Yale University, Columbia University, Cornell University, Johns Hopkins University, Imperial College London, London University of Economics and Political Science, University College London, Nanyang Technological University, and National University of Singapore.

In the past, the program was exclusive to the Tsinghua SEM's partner schools, focusing on small-scale, targeted enrollment. This year, the enrollment channel was opened directly to students from other world-renowned universities for the first time. With this change, the school is striving to establish the program as a window for academic exchange that connects students around the world. Indeed, the program provided valuable opportunities for students and scholars based abroad to experience Tsinghua University this year while they are temporarily unable to visit in person because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Professor HE Ping from the Department of Finance

In his opening speech on the first day of the program, Professor HE Ping, Associate Dean of Tsinghua SEM, expressed warm welcome and sincere greetings to the participating students. He said: "Since its inception in 2013, Tsinghua SEM summer program has enrolled hundreds of students from the world's top business schools. Due to the impact of COVID-19, the 2022 summer program will be held online and will provide exchange students around the world with a virtual platform to learn more about China. I very much look forward to having you participating in our summer program, and I hope you will enjoy our lectures and become part of Tsinghua SEM."

Officially launched in 2013, Tsinghua SEM Global Summer Program aims to promote cross-cultural interaction among students and scholars, as well as to introduce China and Tsinghua SEM to the world. As well as playing a key role in the realization of the school's global strategy, the program is also a platform for students around the world to gain a comprehensive understanding of both Tsinghua and China.
