02 Qualifications

· Applicants must have a PhD degree from a well-known university;

· Aged below 35;

· Within three years after doctoral graduation before applying;

· 作 Shall work full-time at Tsinghua University.

03 Compensation and Benefits

· Compensation: attractive salary package will be provided;

· Housing: we assist in solving housing problems and provide rental apartments;

· Children enrollment: children at preschool and compulsory education age can be arranged to attend the affiliated kindergartens, primary and junior middle schools of Tsinghua University.

Chinese Economy and Management Young Scholars Program

  In order to strengthen the research on Chinese economy and management and further build up its world-class faculty, Tsinghua SEM officially launched the "Chinese Economy and Management Young Scholars Program" with the support of Tsinghua University. The program will enroll postdoctoral researchers in the construction of scientific research team, strengthen their research and teaching abilities, and establish a human resource management system that prepares them for teaching in colleges and universities in the future. It is a combination of young talent training, future faculty reserve and post-doctoral training system. Candidates will be selected according to high-level academic standards. Selected young scholars will receive comprehensive support from the school in resources and career development opportunities as junior faculty members.

02 Qualifications

Excellent in character and academic performance, honest and upright, passionate for teaching and team spirit, with no violation of law or discipline.

A PhD degree from high-level domestic or overseas universities or research institutions within the last three years, under 35 years old, in good physical and mental health.

A PhD degree in economics, management, statistics, computer or data science is preferred, and candidates should have accumulated notable academic achievements in related fields. The selection will be conducted according to high-level academic standards. Proficiency in writing academic papers and policy reports in both Chinese and English, and strong academic and policy research potential are required.

Strong language and written skills are required.

03 Compensation and Benefits

Compensation: competitive salary package; recommendation and assistance in applying for relevant talent programs of the university.

Housing: assistance in applying for on-campus rental apartments in accordance with school policies and resources.

04 Responsibilities and Supports

The main responsibilities of the selected candidates are scientific research and appropriate teaching support tasks. After completing the training and assessment modules stipulated by Tsinghua University and obtaining the teaching qualification, they may have opportunities to independently teach a course.

Upon entry, selected candidates are required to work full-time at Tsinghua University. The duration of one contract is three years, and can be renewed with a maximum extension of three years depending on the candidate’s performance and discipline requirements.

Tsinghua SEM will include the candidates into the training system for junior faculty, and provide various opportunities for teaching skills training and research ability improvement.
