Originally under the name "Tsinghua Xuetang", Tsinghua University was founded in 1911 and is one of the most prestigious universities in China. Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management (Tsinghua SEM) was established in 1984, with Premier ZHU Rongji as the founding dean. After 39 years of development, Tsinghua SEM has achieved remarkable achievements in talent cultivation, scientific research, social services, cultural heritage innovation and international exchanges and cooperation. It has taken the lead in obtaining the top two accreditations of global management education, AACSB and EQUIS, and becomes a leading economic management school in China.

The Postdoctoral Research Station of Tsinghua SEM was officially established in 1988 and recruit young scholars in 4 disciplines: theoretical economics, applied economics, management science and engineering, business administration. As in March 2021,the Station has more than 70 research supervisors, all ranked tenured associate professors or above in Tsinghua SEM. Up till now Tsinghua SEM has recruited over 500 postdoctorates in total, including those under international and enterprise joint training agreements. Over the past 33 years, in Tsinghua SEM, the number of postdoc has been increasing with guaranteed quality, healthy management system and positive social reputation.
