As the first English EMBA program in the Chinese mainland to award dual degrees with a global focus, Tsinghua-INSEAD EMBA (TIEMBA) has led the Financial Times Global EMBA Top 100 List and QS joint program ranking for many years. This year, TIEMBA once again ranked third worldwide.

2022 was the seventh time TIEMBA landed in the Top 3, and the program's ninth appearance among the Top 5, which indicates the prominent position of TIEMBA as a leading EMBA program and Tsinghua and INSEAD's strength and global reach.

FT ranking methodology takes account of 15 indicators under three categories, including career progress, school diversity and research/ESG (environment, social responsibility and corporate governance). TIEMBA was a world leader in the categories of salary today, career progress rank, international course experience and international students. Its ranking also improved in research and gender diversity.

The TIEMBA program runs across Beijing, Shenzhen, Singapore, Fontainebleau and Abu Dhabi, and provides unparalleled multicultural perspectives and insights into some of the world's most dynamic regions. The program relies on its strong faculty, an international and diverse student composition, and a unique combination of the advantages of INSEAD as a leading global business school and the strengths of Tsinghua as a comprehensive university. Since 2018, TIEMBA has upgraded its curriculum, and created new content around the themes "global thinking", "China depth", "management core" and "future business", integrated global vision with business practice in China, and developed students into business leaders with an awareness of innovation and corporate social responsibility in the current business and economic context.

As a global EMBA program emphasizing international exposure, TIEMBA has faced challenges from the pandemic and various global uncertainties. Nevertheless, TIEMBA has persevered, innovated, and drew on strong global connections to continue to provide a highly-ranked EMBA education. Both schools have made great investments and efforts to launch hybrid teaching solutions to make sure students can make the most of their studies even under this tough situation. TIEMBA has operated normally the last two years.

Since its launch in 2007, the program has accumulated more than 600 alumni from 49 countries and regions in Asia, Europe, America, Oceania and Africa. The students come from diverse backgrounds in finance, healthcare, technology, manufacturing and energy. Ninety percent of students are in management positions at multinational businesses, and 35 percent are female. On August 31, 2022, TIEMBA welcomed its 16th cohort of 35 high-achieving executives.
