I’m originally from Prague, where I study business at my home university. I chose to do a semester exchange at Tsinghua University’s School of Economics and Management (SEM) because of its strong academic reputation and its position as one of the top business schools in Asia. I wanted to experience a different cultural and economic environment and challenge myself by stepping outside of my European comfort zone. SEM felt like the perfect place to grow both academically and personally.

Academically, I gained a lot from the courses I took. I especially enjoyed learning about pricing strategy and digital transformation—those classes gave me new insights into how businesses operate and evolve in a globalized, tech-driven world. But maybe even more importantly, I gained a broader perspective on how different life can be in other parts of the world. The contrast between daily life in Europe and in China was eye-opening.
