She received BA in Economics from Renmin University of China in 1998, and PhD in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota in 2003.
She worked as a tenure-track assistant professor at Kansas State University from August 2003 to July 2005. She joined School of Economics and Management in Tsinghua University in August 2005.
She taught principle of management, compensation management, and human resource economics.
Her research interests include labor relations, human capital and education, China's labor market and income inequality. She published both internationally and domestically, such as in Journal of Applied Psychology, Human Resource Management Journal, Industrial Relations, Journal of Labor Research, China Economic Review, Journal of Comparative Economics, and in Management World (Chinese).
She is a member of Academy of Management and Chinese Economist Society.
