Chen is currently an Associate Professor in Leadership and Organization Management at the School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University. She joined Tsinghua University in 2018.

Courses

Chen teaches at both the doctorate and undergraduate levels. The courses she currently teaches include Research Methodology in Management (doctoral core course), Business101: Introduction to Management (undergraduate core course), and Management as a Perspective: Systematic Thinking and Effective Actions (university-level honors course). Chen has won various teaching awards, including the First Prize of Junior Faculty Teaching Competition at Tsinghua University, Gong Yuzhi Biennial Award for Teaching Excellence and the Annual Teaching Excellence Award of Tsinghua University, and the Teaching Excellence Award of School of Economics and Management.

Chen is a scholar in the field of organizational behavior, and she conducts research in several areas, including work designs and redesigns; time, energy, and well-being issues at work; and proactive behaviors in organizations. Chen has published her work in top-tier academic journals of management and organizational behavior, including Organization Science, Journal of Applied Psychology, and Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes
