School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University (Tsinghua SEM) successfully hosted the 20th Annual Meeting of the Association of Asia-Pacific Business Schools (AAPBS) in Beijing, China from October 10 to 12, 2024. The theme of this year is Another 20 Years of Asia-Pacific Business Education. The conference brought together scholars, industry experts, and students.
In the welcome address, Professor Yang Bin, Vice President of Tsinghua University, underscored the university’s long-standing commitment to collaborative efforts with Asia-Pacific institutions, aiming to address global challenges in higher education, economics and technology.
Professor Bai Chong-En, Dean of Tsinghua SEM and President of AAPBS (2022-2024), gave an opening remark. He highlighted the school’s four-decade journey in advancing global business education, and he stressed the need for collective action to drive the region’s business education forward in the next two decades.
During the conference, insightful panel discussions were held with themes on The Impact of Culture on Business Practice and Education, AI and Business Education, and How to Manage a Supply Chain in an Uncertain World.
The 2024 AAPBS Annual Meeting concluded with a pledge to accelerate cross-border partnerships. Looking ahead, AAPBS members will jointly make more proactive contributions to business education and cultivate talents for the economic prosperity and development of the Asia-Pacific region and the world.
