Educational Background

XIE zan is an Assistant Professor of marketing at the School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University. He received his B.E. from Peking University in 1985 and Ph.D. in management from Tsinghua University (2005). In the year 1999-2000, he was invited to USA as a Visiting Scholar at Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, USA.

Research Areas

Xie's research interest includes consumer behavior, customer satisfaction, marketing research and marketing strategy. He had participated in several state level projects including the 'Research on Establishing Methods of China Consumer Satisfaction Index (funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China)' and 'Research on the Establishing Methods of China Consumer Satisfaction Index (funded by Ministry of Science and Technology of China)'. His publications appeared in China Soft Science, Application of Statistics and Management, and Naikai Business Review, ect. He is also the co-author of the well recognized book 'Product Management'.
